My research focuses on the intersection of violence, social inequality, and health dynamics, with an emphasis on reproductive rights and gender-based violence in Latin America.
I currently serve as a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Sociology at Stockholm University. Before this, I was a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Sociology and Center for Innovation in Global Health at Stanford University, and the Department of Global Public Health at Karolinska Institute. I earned my doctorate in sociological demography from the Department of Sociology at Stockholm University in December 2021.
In 2025, I was awarded a €1.6M Starting Grant from the European Research Council to investigate Sexual and Reproductive Outcomes of Violent Crime (SeRO) in Mexico.
