Teaching by Dr. Signe Svallfors
I have considerable experience teaching sociology, demography, and global health. I have given lectures and seminars in theory and methods at the undergraduate, master, and PhD levels, for diverse students at multiple vocational tracks, on several continents.
My teaching mission is to support students in learning as well as their personal growth and self-efficacy, by creating an environment where students are invited to share in the responsibilities and choices for learning. I strive to apply active student participation as a teaching method, using varied teaching techniques and assessments that cater to several forms of learning.
I am keen on supervising students at any level in social demography, sociology, gender studies, global health, or related disciplines on topics within my area of expertise.
